Our Family & Ministry

We are Ben & Kristin Choitz and we have 3 daughters (2 biological and one with us in Zambia) and a son. Our ministry focuses on community transformation that is located in Chibolya, a community in Chongwe, a village town in Zambia.  We have a burden for ministry to vulnerable women, widows, marriages & men through our own road of healing from abuse and sin, and then experiencing recovery and restoration. God has used our own history and by His grace alone, has given us the opportunity to come alongside the people of Zambia to address extreme poverty, injustice and spiritual blindness.

Using our time and experience working in Lusaka and other area’s in the past, we are focusing all of our attention on where God has called us to now, in Chongwe. Our goal is to continue to push back the darkness in Zambia. Ministering to girls and women, some of which have been involved in prostitution, and other vulnerable women, we pray to see transformed lives through relationship, Bible Study and a future drop in center or safe house as the need arises. We will also help women address the spiritual and emotional healing many of them need due to abuse, rape and other issues. We see the use of women’s conference’s and other workshops along with Biblical training and developing deep relationships with the women and girls as some of the tools that will bring freedom and wholeness and life in Christ.
We also focus on ministry to the men of Zambia by working with them on sustainability programs and community development opportunities. This will include many of the things stated above but for men, like men's/Pastor's Conferences, Bible Study, teaching and real, honest, open, relationships.  We embrace this challenge with God, as well.  With this question to guide us….What has God called men to be?  Not culture, not tradition, not circumstances and not ourselves, but God.

Team Zambia is a community transformation ministry that God will use to impact a multitude of areas such as extreme poverty, gender based violence (GBV), oppression of women, spiritual education, and discipleship to name just a few. This is a holistic approach to sharing the gospel to the nations. Where those who are hungry now have access to food, those who are enslaved have access to freedom, and those who are blind have the light of Jesus shining in the darkness where hope is restored. When Chibolya has been transformed by the power of God, no one will be invisible and everyone will have access to their most basic needs of Food, Freedom, and Forgiveness.

We are praying for those that will join us in this mission to transform the community of Chibolya in Chongwe, Zambia. Those who might have a burden for orphans or children, education, HIV/AIDS awareness, food and agricultural, entrepreneurial training, Biblical training, medical, spiritual healing/counseling, or addiction recovery. Along with those who have the same burden for women/girls/prostitutes, men or discipleship as we do! Or there might be something you have a burden for that we haven’t mentioned! Let’s talk!
